    The 2024 Paris Olympic Games will feature the best from Team USA in multiple sports, including track and field. In the women's events, sprinters like Sha'Carri Richardson are expected to shine in Paris this summer. On the men's side, sprinter Noah Lyles is the fastest man in the headline events for Team USA.

    Lyles is the top-ranked 200 meter sprinter in the world and second in 100-meter rankings as well, per World Athletics . He swept the sprints - 100 meters and 200 meters - at the U.S. Olympic Trials and went viral on social media for showing off a Yu-Gi-Oh! card on the broadcast before his races.

    Where is Noah Lyles from?

    Noah Lyles was born in Gainesville, Florida but his family moved to Alexandria, Virginia when he was a kid.

    He attended Alexandria City High School (T.C. Williams High School at the time). Lyles committed to the University of Florida but changed his mind and signed an eight-year contract with Adidas in 2016.

    Lyles' father Kevin was a sprinter at Seton Hall University and competed for Team USA in the 1995 World Championships. He ran in the heats for the 4 x 400-meter relay as the U.S. won gold in the event. He retired from competitive sprinting in 1997.

    Lyles' brother Josephus is also a sprinter and competed in high school before signing a contract with Adidas. He most recently medaled for the U.S. in the 2022 North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships (NACAC) with a bronze in the 200 meters.

    In 2023, Lyles earned the Men's World Athlete of the Year award from the World Athletics. He was also a nominee for Sportsman of the Year in the 2024 Laureus World Sports Awards.
