The 2024 Olympics are well underway, and that means some of the best golfers in the world are in Paris preparing to take on Le Golf National for a chance to win a gold medal. A field of 60 players from across the globe will tee it up Thursday in the opening round of the Olympic men’s golf competition. The event is comprised of four rounds of stroke play, with a winner being determined Sunday afternoon.

Jon Rahm is finally a winner on LIV Golf.
The Spaniard took home his first individual title in more than a year Sunday, topping Legion XIII teammate Tyrrell Hatton by a shot to win LIV Golf UK. With it, he also takes home $4 million in prize money and an additional piece of the $3 million his Legion XIII won in the team competition.
Hatton bogeyed the last hole, and while a par would’ve forced a playoff, he’s also due for a seven-figure payday. Joaquin Niemann and Cameron Smith also finished tied for second.

With gold medals and national pride on the line, there are 60 men and 60 women heading to Paris. The American contingent is made up of Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa as well as Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang.
Each competition will be a 72-hole, stroke-play tournament with gold, silver and bronze medals awaiting the top three finishers in each.
Le Golf National, host of the 2018 Ryder Cup, will host both competitions.
