Mack Hollins is the most interesting man in the world

Mack Hollins is quite the enigma.

“Every team I’ve been on if you ask ‘Who’s the weirdest guy?’ They’re gonna say Mack,” Hollins said.

Weird wasn’t the word Hollins’ teammates used. Rather, they were very complimentary of their free-spirited teammate.

“He’s crazy,” Dion Dawkins said. “He’s Tarzan.”

Quarterback Josh Allen was asked how he feels about his new target, and he answered with a sly laugh.

    “I love Mack,” Allen said.

Offensive coordinator Joe Brady spoke very highly of the wideout, as well.

“He’s one of my favorite players,” Brady said. “Honestly, probably one of my favorite people that I’ve ever met.

And why is Hollins being discussed so much? Well, there are a few reasons.

He doesn’t wear shoes. He eats with his hands. And he has superstitions about small house cats.

“Small cats will steal your soul,” Hollins said. “Never have them around.”

He also explained why he opts to not use utensils to eat.

“What happened that people said you had to start using utensils? Your hands will help you digest it because your body knows that it’s coming. Your hands will get the temperature of the food so you can better understand what it;s gonna be before it goes in your mouth so you don’t burn your tongue or your lips. And you're more cognizant about washing your hands. People will be like ‘Oh, that’s dirty.’ No it’s not, because I know I’m about to eat with my hands so I know I gotta wash them.”

Hollins is looking to be one of the building blocks in the Bills’ new-look offense. Along with several new receivers, they are adapting into a completely new identity that began when they fired Ken Dorsey and named Joe Brady the offensive coordinator. This is going to be an offense that leans more into the ground game and being an efficient passing game rather than an all-or-nothing style of attack. Holllins’ ability to run block and also be a capable threat in the receiving game and red zone should give him a solidified role in the offense.
