Everyone Said Same Thing About Brittney Griner vs. Japan

The Japanese Olympic team had absolutely no answer for Brittney Griner during Monday's group play matchup against Team USA.

Griner's 6-foot-9 frame towered over every player on the Japanese roster. And early in the game, it became very clear that Team USA would use that height difference to its advantage.

Team USA got the ball to Griner early and ofter, and her dominance was on full display.

With more than four minutes remaining in the second quarter, Griner had already recorded seven points and six rebounds. The Phoenix Mercury center ripped down one rebound over two opposing players with one hand.

Fans flooded social media with comments about Griner's dominance.

"What is Japan supposed to do about Brittney Griner," one fan asked.

"The way Brittney Griner just got that rebound with one hand was incredible," another said.

"Yeah Brittney Griner a whole cheat code in this Olympics," another added.

Griner is playing in her third Olympics and in search of her third consecutive gold medal.
