    Update: Missing Monongalia County teen found

    MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office has reported that Jacob Thomas Miavitz, 15, has been found and was safely transported home after being reported missing since early Monday morning.

    MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Law enforcement in Monongalia County is asking for the public’s help in locating a teen who has been missing since early Monday morning.

    According to a post on social media from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, Jacob Thomas Miavitz, 15, was last seen at around 2:30 a.m. at his residence on Bennett Drive in Brookhaven. He was last seen wearing a light-colored tee shirt and long pants that could possibly be red plaid pajama bottoms.

    Accomplice in Monongalia County murder sentenced to 40 years in prison

    Miavitz is described as standing 5’7 and weighs around 145 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Monongalia County Sheriff’s office at 304-291-7260.
