Ranking Every Quarterback Room In The AFC East

This might be the most challenging debate so far. After two decades of being completely dominated by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, the rest of the AFC East teams are finally reputable and able to compete. Conversely, the Patriots are now at the bottom of the division, hoping to climb back. All things considered, fans will be hard-pressed to choose which teams have the best QB rooms.

4) New England Patriots

Drake Maye has unbelievable talent and potential, but the Patriots cannot be higher until he is a proven starter and as good as his potential says he can be. It will likely work out, but right now is not the time for Patriots quarterbacks. Besides Maye, the current QB1 is Jacoby Brissett, and QB3 is Bailey Zappe. This group is just not remotely comparable to the others, and it won't be until Drake Maye becomes the superstar we all know he can be.

3) Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins come into this ranking as number three. Tua Tagovailoa is solid and is a more than serviceable talent, given who is around him. NFL legend Mike White backs him up, and the Dolphins have a solid overall core. The only concern is consistency and an inability to reach the post-season. It is unlikely Tua will be moving into the top two until he proves he can carry a team and be worthy of the once-infamous "Tank for Tua" moniker.

2) New York Jets

It didn't last too long last year, but Aaron Rodgers will hopefully be the Jets' starting quarterback for the entirety of this season. Even if it is not Rodgers who starts, the Jets signed Tyrod Taylor and drafted Jordan Travis out of Florida State to back him up. When healthy, Rodgers is easily a top-five quarterback in the league; he has to stay healthy this season and not tear his Achilles on the first drive of the year. With Travis learning from behind and taking notes, the Jets might have a successor ready to go when Rodgers eventually leaves/retires. The Jets are an easy number two as long as no one gets injured.

1) Buffalo Bills

While Rodgers is great when healthy, Josh Allen is elite and always healthy. Allen has cemented himself as a top-five quarterback in the NFL over the past few years, and it's unlikely that changes any time soon. Despite losing Stefon Diggs in the off-season, rookie Keon Coleman should produce a great spark to the offense and help keep Allen at the top of the charts for quarterbacks. Given that Allen's backup is the goat, Mitch Trubisky, Allen and the Bills seem like the easy selection for the number one slot.
