HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Vanderburgh County deputies worked a crash Monday morning when a woman hit a tree.

According to an accident report, the crash was caused thanks to an animal that ran into the road. The driver says she was heading east on New Harmony Road when she swerved to avoid the animal but went off the edge of the road.

The driver said the grass was wet and could not get back onto the road, causing her to go off the right side, hitting the tree.

The vehicle was a 2024 Chevrolet Trax.

The report does not state if there were any injuries or what the animal was.
