ALERT DAY for storms this evening and overnight - Alex
6 days ago
WHAT WE'RE TRACKING :
ALERT DAY: Monday night
Much cooler Tuesday
Mild temperatures stick around next week
PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: A low pressure system and associated warm front move through Wisconsin Monday night, bringing the southern half of the state a chance for severe weather and heavy rains. While all severe weather hazards will be possible, strong wind gusts, large hail along with minor flooding are the main threats. However, especially farther southwest (areas mainly south and west of Madison), there is a chance for a tornado or two, yet that threat will be confined to the early to mid evening hours. (We are keeping an eye on a "lid" to the atmosphere that will hopefully help keep the tornado threat from materializing.)
EXTENDED FORECA ST : Any remaining showers and storms will wrap up throughout the mornings hours on Tuesday, leaving a cool and breezy Tuesday afternoon, followed by generally quiet conditions along with mild temperatures throughout the upcoming work week. The upcoming weekend is looking pleasant and dry right now.
