Fans Agree On Simone Biles-Michael Phelps Take After Team USA Women's Gymnastics Win Gold

On Tuesday afternoon, Simone Biles and the USA women's gymnastics team secured a gold medal at the team final in the 2024 Paris Olympics with swimming legend Michael Phelps in attendance. This is Biles' first Olympic gold medal since the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Biles, alongside her teammates Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, and Jade Carey, dominated the competition, scoring a total of 171.296 points, nearly six points higher than the second-place Italy team.

Biles carried the load on the way to gold for Team USA, recording a total individual score of 58.332. Her highest total came in rotation one, with a score of 14.900 in the vault. She also recorded a team-high of 14.666 in the floor exercise.

After her gold medal victory, many are putting Biles in the 'greatest of all-time' conversation with Phelps. Some are putting her above Phelps, but many have Biles at least on par with him.
