Steve Kerr Should Stick to His Guns

Despite a blowout win over Serbia in Team USA’s opening basketball game at the Olympics, head coach Steve Kerr has been facing backlash for leaving superstar Jayson Tatum on the bench. Doug encourages Kerr to disregard the outrage from social media and not let it affect his decision-making during tomorrow’s game against South Sudan. He’s trying to lead Team USA to a gold medal and feelings have no place in the process.

Doug Gottlieb: “If you play Jayson Tatum big minutes tomorrow, you are overcorrecting and you’re giving in to the pressure of social media... (You’re) trying to win a basketball game. The only thing that’s important is you win a game. The second it becomes about something else is the second that you’ve lost your team.”
