Kyler Murray Issues Bold Warning To NFL Defenses Ahead Of 2024

So much for the Arizona Cardinals prioritizing Kyler Murray's health over his dual-threat ability.

Coming off a season cut in half by recovering from injury, the Cardinals' franchise quarterback hardly plans to cut back on scrambling in 2024. In fact, Murray believes fully embracing his rare dual-threat ability is what will finally allow him to "scratch the surface" of his utmost potential.

"I don't feel like I even scratched the surface as far as what I am capable of doing moving around and being a dual threat," he said, per Arizona beat writer Darren Urban.

The No. 1 overall pick of the 2019 NFL draft, Murray missed the first nine games of last season while rehabbing from a torn ACL. He led the downtrodden Cardinals to a 3-5 record in eight starts, throwing for 1,799 yards and 10 touchdowns against five interceptions while adding 244 yards and three scores on the ground.

Expect both Murray and his team to be better in 2024. Now honing his craft in training camp, Murray began July by inviting Arizona's pass-catchers and fellow quarterbacks to Los Angeles for intense training sessions at UCLA.

Clearly, Murray believes that extra work amid a complete offseason will prove a major difference for himself and the Cardinals.

"This year, getting to start fresh, it is a big difference," he said.
