Evan Honer Teases Duet With Charles Wesley Godwin

This would be a huge duet for Evan Honer.

At just 23 years old, Evan Honer has garnered an impressive 70+ million streams thus far in his career across platforms. With hits like “idk sh*t about cars” and “Foolin’ Ourselves,” the Arizona native intertwines country roots with Americana/indie sounds for a unique sound.

Headlining his own tour and being out on the road with friend and collaborator Wyatt Flores keeps Honer more than busy, but that does not stop him from getting in the studio to create new music for his fans.

Today, he posted a cryptic image to his Instagram story that seemingly teases a collaboration with a huge name—the one and only Charles Wesley Godwin. Godwin has been on the rise for quite some time now but really got put on the map with the release of his 2023 album Family Ties, which secured the top honors for the Whiskey Riff Top 40 Albums of the Year.

Godwin is now signed to a major label and is considered a heavy-hitting name among country music artists. Honer, an independent artist, securing a collaboration with Godwin would be huge. And we love to see the potential, knowing that Godwin is giving back to those independent artists with the same grit and hustle he did as an independent.

The image shows the two men facing each other in a recording studio, with no context other than tagging CWG. While no details are given, it’s a surefire teaser for something to come in the future. (Just like people often post the Ryman before announcing their debut, do you catch my drift?)

I hope this collaboration comes to our ears sooner rather than later. I can only imagine how well these two would vocally pair together.
