Chilton County Sheriff’s Office locates burglary suspect

CHILTON COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Chilton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a burglary suspect in the Mt. Pleasant community.

According to the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office, an off-duty officer came home and observed an individual involved in suspicious activity near his residence. An altercation ensued and the suspect fled into the woods.

Authorities are searching the area of County Road 53, County Road 83 and County Road 407. The suspect is described as 5’7″, wearing a red shirt and black pants.
