MyKayla Skinner may have said some harsh criticisms towards the USA women's gymnastics team in the past, but by the looks of it, she has changed her mind.

After Simone Biles and the rest of Team USA won gold in the Olympics gymnastics team event on Tuesday, Skinner took to her Instagram Stories to react to the achievement.

Skinner, who was teammates with Biles in the Tokyo Olympics where she won silver on the vault, shared a photo of the 2024 USA women's gymnastics team receiving their medal. She simply captioned it with three heart emojis, highlighting her delight for the win and respect for the team.

As mentioned, MyKayla Skinner wasn't always the biggest fan of the current USA women's gymnastics team. After the Olympic trials late last June, she noted that the team's "talent and the depth just isn't like what it used to be."

She also claimed that the work ethic of the athletes was questionable, saying "a lot of girls don't work as hard" (via E Online).

While Skinner has since apologized for her remarks and explained herself, the damage has been done. Even Simone Biles took issue with it, so much so that she even posted an indirect shot at Skinner after their win.

Skinner has yet to address Biles' post that has fueled more backlash towards her. Clearly, however, she's now being more supportive of the team.
