Maria Kanellis Updates Fans On Her Medical Situation & Confirms When She Will Be Undergoing Surgery

Former WWE diva Maria Kanellis has unfortunately been dealing with multiple health issues in recent years, which even saw her have to have half her thyroid removed. Yet while it was hoped she was going to have a continuous spell of good health, she recently revealed on X that a growth had been discovered following a CT scan her insurance company had initially declined. And now, she has returned to the social media platform to provide an update, noting she is set to undergo blood and urine tests and will likely have surgery in September.

42-year-old Kanellis, along with her husband Mike Bennett, signed with AEW in October 2022 after their time with Impact Wrestling came to an end. It’s understood that WWE was an option for the couple, but AEW’s schedule worked out better for their family. Still, the pair have since been separated on screen, with Kanellis becoming the manager of Cole Karter and Griff Garrison in ROH. Although as Karter is sidelined with a broken arm, there is speculation that her future could be alongside the MxM Collection, whom she interacted with during Death Before Dishonor’s pre-show.
