In the course of five seasons, Daniels completed 953 passes (1438 attempts) for a 66.3% completion rate, for 12,749 yards (8.9 yards per attempt, league average is 7 YPA), 89 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. He also added 617 carries for 3307 yards (5.4 yards per carry, great for quarterbacks) and 34 touchdowns.
Daniels has the skills that make fantasy managers salivate. His rushing upside is insane, which tends to prop up rookie quarterbacks' fantasy performances, who are still dealing with the jump in difficulty from college to the pros. Jayden joins a Commanders team with Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Austin Eckler, Brian Robinson Jr., and fellow rookies Luke McCaffrey and Ben Sinnott.
This is a great supporting cast, and Kliff Kingsbury has created an offense with a high-scoring fantasy quarterback (Kyler QB6, 3, 10 in first three seasons). The defense is still a few years away from being good, so the Commanders must score to be competitive. Targeting Daniels as your upside QB pick late in one QB redraft league could be a league-winning move. Dynasty Superflex Daniels is worth a top-15 pick.
There is a world where Daniels has between 800 and 1000 rushing yards, double-digit touchdowns, and everything he could do with his arm with Washington's weapons. Daniels has everything needed to be a QB1 as a rookie, and he is being drafted in the 10th round in redraft leagues, which could be a massive value if he hits. The rest of the roster should be stacked if waiting till the 10th round for a QB; the best part is if he doesn't hit, you can just stream the position.
Our consensus projections for Daniels in the 2024 season would be: 373 completions, 4136 yards, 25 touchdowns, 11 interceptions through the air, and 133 carries for 763 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns.
