2024 Best Ball rankings: Training camp risers and fallers, where to draft them, more

This time of Best Ball draft season is very tricky because NFL training camps are in full swing, the Preseason is about to begin, and we are flooded with news and player videos.

It is tricky to react to camp news, but not overreact at the same time. The key is to react to the "right" news. And there is no easy answer for this to help adjust Best Ball rankings this time of year.

Most importantly, I've learned not to react to camp videos of players on social media. NFL team's social media departments are trying to dazzle us with slow-motion clips of great catches. These clips have zero context with them we cannot let that guide our decisions. Last year, there were plenty of amazing catches from Chargers ' WR Quentin Johnston . That explains why we should not overhype these "hype" videos.

Reports from beat reporters are good, but you need to make sure there is context to the reports and they are a trusted source. More important than actual plays is to see which players are practicing with the starters. Johnston for example, is practicing with the Chargers' backups, so that's a signal and a bad sign.

I lean into outlets that give context to training camp reports. Hayden Winks of Underdog Network has a great thread that has helped me a lot.
