Chesterfield County will celebrate National Night Out with nearly 100 block parties

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — National Night Out is next week and Chesterfield County will celebrate with nearly 100 block parties.

The Chesterfield County Police Department and the community are getting ready to gear up for the 41st Annual National Night Out set to take place next Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 5 to 9 p.m.

Annually, neighbors gather together to host and attend neighborhood block parties that bring residents, the police and communities together.

According to police, National Night Out increases crime and drug-prevention awareness and strengthens partnerships between residents and police.
