Norfolk Terrier Puppy Meets Border Terrier Uncle and Total Cuteness Ensues

When we adopted my dog as an eight week old puppy six years ago (it's hard to believe that it's already been that long!), one of the things I was most excited about was introducing her to everyone in my life. My parents and sister, my BFFs — everyone was about to get the chance to cuddle my new pup, who was obviously the most adorable dog in the world. I was also excited for her to meet my friends' dogs, too; if I was friends with their humans, surely she would hit it off with their dogs, too.

Seeing those moments where dogs come face to face with each other after their humans have been so excited to introduce them is always so sweet, this one included. Though the puppy in question is still a very tiny guy, he's not intimidated at all by a bigger dog!

On Monday, July 29, @otisthenorfie shared this video of their new puppy, Otis, who is a Norfolk Terrier , meeting his Uncle Murphy, a Border Terrier , for the very first time. Seeing two scruffy dogs get together was always going to be adorable, but Otis' reaction is everything!

Otis is just the slightest bit nervous at first, approaching Murphy very slowly before he realizes that it's safe to show a bit more enthusiasm. It's then that he really ramps things up, even jumping up to paw at his uncle's face.

There's just one problem: Murphy is absolutely not matching his energy, and just stands there, like "is this kid ever going to leave me alone?"

For that reason, the audio paired with this video couldn't possibly be more perfect: It's taken from a clip from Up, when Wilderness Explorer Russell approaches the crotchety Carl with all the excitement in the world, and Carl doesn't try to hide just how uninterested he is.

    Baby Otis' Story So Far

Considering his size, it's not too surprising to hear that Otis is brand new to the world — and to his family!

It was only about a week ago that his parents shared a video of them driving him home after they adopted him. He seemed to love the car ride, snuggling up for a little nap in the process, and when he went to bed that night, he was tucked into his crate with plenty of blankets and toys. That's the life!

In another video, we can see Otis' first few days at home , which included his first vet visit (boo!), plenty of snoozing, and fighting with a basket. Puppies really will fight with anything!

Murphy might not be into it, but I bet deep down, he's glad to have a new friend. Or he will be. Eventually!
