The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has made a second arrest in a July 26 homicide.
Nehemiah Belser, 25, is charged with capital murder in the case, court records show. He is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under no bond, records show. No bond is common in a capital murder case.
Capt. Randy Pollard, head of the sheriff’s office investigations division, declined to comment about why capital murder charges were filed, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.

At about 2:30 a.m., deputies went to a house in the 6000 block of West Hickory Grove Road on a report of a shooting, Pollard said. They found Rueben Squire, 79, dead, Pollard said. The sheriff's office did not release a cause of death.
As part of the investigation, sheriff’s office investigators accompanied by patrol, SWAT and Montgomery Police Department personnel went to Monticello Drive on Friday. A juvenile was found, arrested and charged with murder.
The juvenile, whose name was not released due to his age, knew Squire, but investigators have not given the nature of that relationship.
