    PHOTOS: Arlington County police wishing K-9 officer a ‘relaxing retirement’

    ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) is wishing K-9 officer Arlo “a relaxing retirement” with his handler and family Wednesday.

    ACPD said Arlo began his career with the police department in November 2018 as a Patrol/Narcotic K-9.

    “Arlo faithfully served the Arlington community by helping locate dangerous drugs and criminal suspects,” ACPD stated in a post on X.

    Arlo graduated from a basic K-9 school hosted by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. Now, he’s ready to rest after an almost 8-year career.

    “We are grateful for his loyal service to our department and community and wish him all the best in his retirement years,” ACPD stated.
