New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was seen having an animated conversation with wide receiver Garrett Wilson at practice the other day, which has had everyone buzzing.

However, Rodgers wants to ensure that it really wasn’t anything to be concerned about.

“It’s a whole lot of nothing,” Rodgers said on the Up & Adams Show .

Rodgers expressed similar sentiments to the media in his most recent press conference, saying that his discussions with Wilson are productive.

“He’s got to get on my page, but I have to get on his page, too, because he’s got a whole book that I need to understand fully — skill set and ability and feel and rhythm and all the different things that he does out there,” Rodgers said, via ESPN’s Rich Cimini . “So those are good conversations. They might appear to be much more heated than they are, but there’s usually a smile on our face afterwards — at least one of us.”

Rodgers and Wilson were seen shaking hands at the end of the heated discussion, so this was definitely much ado about nothing.

The Aaron Rodgers-Garrett Wilson connection is vital for the Jets

Wilson has already established himself as a legitimate No. 1 receiver, posting back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns to begin his career in spite of primarily catching passes from Zach Wilson.

Now, the Ohio State product will have one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time throwing him the football, which could be terrifying for the rest of the NFL.

Of course, we need to see how Rodgers looks first.

The future Hall-of-Fame signal-caller is 40 years old and is coming off of a torn Achilles, so we don’t know if Rodgers will be quite the same. But if he resembles anything close to his prime form, the Jets’ aerial attack is going to be lethal in 2024.

It’s not just Wilson, either. New York also added Mike Williams in free agency and Malachi Corley through the draft. Plus, the Jets have an underrated tight end in Tyler Conklin and one of the best running backs in football in Breece Hall.

On top of that, New York worked hard to improve its offensive line this offseason, highlighting its makeover by signing superstar left tackle Tyron Smith.

We’ll see if Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson can lead the Jets back to the playoffs for the first time since he 2010-11 campaign.
