Mac Jones Tries To Rehabilitate NFL & Fantasy Value

After a promising and high-hope rookie season in 2021, Mac Jones has failed on almost every account, both in the NFL and in fantasy. In 2023, out of the 11 games that Jones played in, only 3 produced the top 20 numbers.

He averaged just over 1 INT per game in those same games and only had two games where he passed over 250 yards. Jones has also shown that he can produce little to no in the rushing game. After his poor performances, the Patriots decided to demote him to 3rd string in favor of Bailey Zappe. Although he didn’t produce much, part could potentially be to blame for the Patriots surrounding him with a pretty sorry crew.

Either way, the Patriots had plans to draft another QB and traded Jones to the Jaguars to back up Trevor Lawrence. This will force Jones to ride the bench unless Lawrence suffers an injury. Maybe under a new coaching staff, Jones could fix his problems, but it is not likely we will get the chance to see that for a while. Mac Jones should only be drafted in 2 QB dynasty leagues, and that should even be toward the later draft rounds.
