A small step inside the glass doors of Alon's Morningside flagship leads directly to an organized chaos of folks shopping the various counters for take-home dinners, catering for parties, and made-to-order sandwiches. We mainly use this one-stop-shop market for their prepared foods—anytime we get a potluck invite, we're bringing Alon's. The special olive bread made with black olives is always clutch on a cheese tray. Their soft, chewy cookies could start an office brawl for the last one. And the bakery's pastries are top tier. And if shopping makes you hungry, move on to the sandwich and salad counter to snag an excellent smoked peppered turkey sandwich with sprouts on fresh baked whole wheat bread.
