At the conclusion of yet another gymnastics event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, it is Team USA's Simone Biles with the gold medal around her neck.

The 27-year-old Biles at one point had slipped to third place following a consequential mistake on the uneven bars, but she was able bounce back in a major way. Her balance beam routine is what helped her recover in a big way, as she recorded a 14.566 and received a roaring ovation from the crowd at the Bercy Arena.

With first place in sight, Biles needed at least a 13.867 on her floor routine to surpass Brazil's Rebeca Andrade. She got that score and then some on her routine, posting an astounding 15.066, which clinched her second gold of the Paris Olympics and again helped her make some history. It also helped her beat her teammate Suni Lee who clinched the bronze in this event after getting the gold in Tokyo.

Biles' gold in the team all-around event officially made her the most decorated gymnast in Team USA history, but this gold medal gave her a feat that hadn't been done in 56 years.

Biles became the first woman to win two Olympic All-Around Titles since Vera Caslavska did so in 1964 and 1968 for Czechoslovakia. For those who don't view 27 as old look away, but Biles became the oldest woman in American history to nab gold for the all-around competition.

This officially marks gold medal No. 6 for Biles who made her Olympic debut during the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, while just 19 years old. She has a chance to increase that tally by three more, as she also qualified for the finals in the vault, floor, and beam events.

Biles will return to action on Saturday, August 3 for the vault.
