Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is searching for a new contract, but he has maintained a cheerful attitude throughout the entire process.

Hill was recently asked about the situation at training camp, and the superstar pass-catcher does not seem to be fretting about it at all.

“My focus is on helping the team win games,” Hill said, via David Furones of The South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “I know it’s going to come. Whenever it happens. My agent is doing his thing, I just got done having a conversation with him. Conversations are positive right now, so we’re going to keep it positive. Right now, I’m going to keep practicing every day trying to help this team win games.”

The 30-year-old is under contract through 2026 and is slated to earn $19.7 million in base salary this coming season. Beyond that, it’s a major question mark.

Hill is on track to make $21.8 million in 2025 and is slated to potentially earn a massive $43.9 million base salary in 2026, but that was only to increase the average annual value of the deal.

We’ll see how—and if—the Dolphins decide to restructure Hill’s contract. They could move some of the money from 2026 to 2024, or they could also provide him with more in guarantees.

Tyreek Hill has changed things in a great way for the Dolphins

Before Hill arrived in 2022, the Dolphins had made just one playoff appearance since 2009. They have since gone on to make the playoffs in each of Hill’s first two seasons.

Hill has had a tremendous effect on Miami, playing a central role in leading the Dolphins to the No. 1-ranked offense in the NFL last year.

He also was pivotal in helping quarterback Tua Tagovailoa land his own contract extension, as Hill—along with Jaylen Waddle—has certainly made Tagovailoa’s job much easier.

Hill hauled in 119 receptions for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns in his debut campaign in South Beach. Then, last season, the West Alabama product led the league with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 receiving scores on another 119 catches.

The Dolphins still have not won a playoff game since January 2001, but Tyreek Hill has gotten them closer than they’ve ever been over the last two-plus decades.

It would certainly behoove Miami to keep its perennial Pro Bowler happy.
