The New York Giants might still be a quite imperfect team as a whole heading into the 2024 NFL season, but the excitement surrounding Malik Nabers is off the charts. The former LSU star wide receiver and first round NFL Draft pick continues making huge highlight plays every single day.

Nabers is making it look easy, creating "absurd separation" of 4-6 yards at times, even when the defense knows exactly what's coming. This kind of hype surrounding a Giants wide receiver has not been matched since the last time New York selected an LSU star playmaker in Odell Beckham Jr., back in 2014.

Every single day, Nabers makes some kind of new highlight catch. Today was no different, as Nabers torched his former LSU teammate and Giants cornerback Cordale Flott on a out-and-up for.a long touchdown score. Even with Flott giving a good seven-yard cushion pre-snap it was over as soon as Nabers took his first break in the route.

Nabers' subtlety in technique on double moves helped him create easy separation on deep routes throughout his college career, and it looks like it's going to be more of the same in the NFL. His commitment to his out break with his head and hips caused Flott to be caught flat-footed trying to play the sideline-breaking route and it was over.

It was that kind of route precision that allowed Nabers to be one of the most efficient wide receivers in college football history last season, logging over four yards per team pass attempt at LSU. He also finished his junior season last fall with more yards per game than any wide receiver in the nation.

Nabers will immediately become the team's leading target this season as a rookie, splitting targets primarily with Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson, and second year receiver Jalin Hyatt. If he dominates in the regular season like he's doing at Giants training camp Nabers will continue the excellent legacy of LSU wide receivers starring in the NFL as one of the premier candidate schools to be considered "WR U".
