The most incredible part of rescuing and fostering dogs is watching them transform. Whether your dog was timid and easily upset or looking rough because of neglect, there's nothing quite as special as taking a look at your dog and seeing how far they've come.

On Tuesday, July 30th, a dog mom posted an update about her rescue exactly one month after she came to her, and it's almost unbelievable. Not only has she made an incredible recovery from severe mange, but she's got her own bathrobe to go with it:

✨Glo✨ is gearing up for her spay surgery this week which means its almost time for her to be adopted!! Thank you so much for loving her and we cant wait to make her new family complete! (Wont be for another week or more) PS shes definitely GROWING?! So who knows the truth on the age front, we think shes closer to 6-8 months? #fosteringsaveslives #fosterdog #rescuedogs #dogsofinstagram #adopt #adoptorshopresponsibly #bullybreeds #youglogirl #fosterpuppy

Wally the Pit is so kind for opening up his foster home to Glo - she needed it. I might have just cried a little on my keyboard. Whose business is that?

Glo has been the subject of a lot of Wally's TikToks recently, and for good reason. When they found her, she was in rough shape: covered head-to-toe in mange, underweight, and definitely neglected, she was about the size of a 3-month-old puppy. Luckily, the rescue she was given to found a foster home with Wally's mom, and since then, things have really been looking up.

Since moving in, Glo (short for Gloria, if you wondered) has had to take many medicated baths. Obviously, they've been working wonders, but they also tend to make her a little chilly. To combat that, her foster mom got her a cute, custom bathrobe: when she's ready for her forever home, she'll get to take it with her!

Doggy Bathrobes are Very Useful Tools

Other than making your dog look and feel like actual royalty, doggy bathrobes can be used in a variety of ways. They're good for after baths to help dry off and keep warm (they may even stop the post-bath zoomies). They're also fine to throw on them in the wintertime when they need to go for a walk. Walk in your bathrobe at the same time, that way it's a fashion statement!

As it turns out, they're also good in the hotter months; you can soak them in cool water and put them on your dog to keep them cool. You shouldn't leave it on them for more than about 20 minutes at a time, and you can expect some zoomies afterward, but it's a small price to pay to avoid a heatstroke!

Letting your dog air dry is a thing of the past, and for good reason. It takes much too long, and it gives them a lot of time to get their wet fur all over everything. Long-haired dogs can even mat if left to air dry, which basically defeats the purpose of grooming. Step into the future like Glo and get your do a bathrobe, quick!
