Chargers Star Drops Scary Take After Huge Offseason Changes

The Los Angeles Chargers had a very busy offseason highlighted by the hiring of former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. But while the team did lose top receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams because of salary cap issues, star defender Joey Bosa is feeling optimistic about what the 2024 season has in store.

The four-time All-Pro, who suffered a season-ending injury in Week 11 in the 2023 season, sat down with NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and revealed he has a "new motivation" with everything happening within the organization.

"I just feel a new drive, a new motivation with everything that's changing around here. It's a fresh start but it's not a fresh start, I'm still with the same team, you know we're moving to LA, we got the new facility, the new staff. Like coach said, every year you feel like you're reborn. So this is me, fresh baby Joey going into Year 9," Bosa said.

Bosa has struggled with injuries during his time in the NFL, playing a mere 14 games across the last two seasons. He took a pay cut this summer alongside fellow pass-rusher Khalil Mack so they could stay and play in Harbaugh's system.

Sure, the Chargers may not have as talented a roster as 2023, but you won't find a better coach. His resume is decorated as can be and there's a strong belief Harbaugh will help improve Los Angeles immediately.

Offensively, the hope is Justin Herbert can take a step while Quentin Johnston needs to rise to the occasion as the QB's primary option, especially with Williams and Allen now gone.
