Coroner: 1 dead after motorcycle crash on Highway 72 near Elk River

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Limestone County Coroner Mike West says one person is dead after a motorcycle crash on Highway 72.

West said the call came in about the wreck on Highway 72 West near Little Elk Road around 6 p.m.

The driver of the motorcycle was killed in the crash, according to the coroner.

Two patients were taken to Athens Limestone Hospital by Athens EMS.
