Heat advisory for North Alabama from Wednesday to Friday
On Tuesday at 1:37 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory valid from Wednesday 1 p.m. until Friday 7 p.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties. The weather service says, "Heat index values between 102 and 108 degreesF are expected."

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)– The dog days of summer continue across the state of Alabama with temperatures remaining in the low to mid 90s. We are not under any heat advisories today but that will not stop “feels like ” temperatures to rise in the low 100s. Today, I have temperatures around 94 degrees as the high today, and rain chances around 40%. Low temperatures will remain in mid to upper 70s and rain chances will remain fairly low as the sun goes down.

First Alert Weather: Increasing storm chances, more heat advisories in effect
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Heat Advisories are in effect for our area and we will continue to see triple digit feels-like temperatures for Independence Day. If we see indications of heat index extremes reaching or topping 110º we will issue a First Alert Weather Day. With the heat and humidity, a few scattered showers and storms will be possible through early evening and again on Thursday. We should see most of the pop-up showers and storms dissipating Thursday evening for Thunder on the Mountain.
