Mark Andrews Has Obstacles To A TE1 Finish

Mark Andrews was on pace for another great season before getting injured in Week 11 last season; even with missing 7 full games and only playing 11% of the snaps in that week 11 game where he was injured, Andrews still managed to finish with 544 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns which was still good for 2nd most by any Tight end.

The connection with QB Lamar Jackson is obvious and still there. With Zay Flowers his only major target competition, Andrews is primed for another season of solid target share in one of the best offenses in the NFL. One area of concern for Andrews outside of the obvious injury concerns could be the addition of Derrick Henry.

Andrews's red zone proficiency has historically been one of his greatest assets in Fantasy, and adding a running back with the knack for finding his way into the endzone, even at this late stage in his career, could very well cut into Andrews's red zone work. Even with that said, there are not many tight ends that provide the combination of ceiling and floor that Andrews does.

Our consensus projections for Andrews in the 2024 season are 86 receptions, 998 yards, and 9 touchdowns.
