Sha'Carri Richardson will finally get her shot at the Olympics at this year's Paris Olympic Games after a marijuana-related suspension kept her out of the Tokyo Games in 2021. Just how fast is the American sprinter?

The former LSU sprinter is one of the fastest women in the world currently. That's something she established by winning the gold medal in the 100-meter sprint and the bronze medal in the 200-meter event at the 2023 World Championships. She also helped Team USA win the gold in the 4x100-meter relay at the same event.

Richardson once again proved her dominance in the 100-meter dash by winning the event at the U.S. Olympic trials in June. That put her into the 2024 Olympics for the event, though a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter sprint at the trials left her on the outside looking in.

Here's just how fast Richardson has been in her sprinting career.

Richardson's fastest 100-meter sprint time in any conditions was a 10.57-second run at the Miramar Invitational in Florida last year. While it is the fourth-fastest time in the event in any conditions, the record does not count because of the +4.1 m/s tailwind that assisted it (+2.0 m/s is the maximum assistance allowed).

Her official personal best is a 10.65, which she set in the 2023 World Championships to win the gold medal while facing a -0.2 m/s headwind. The time is both a personal and championship record.

Richarson won't be running in the 200-meter sprint at the 2024 Olympics, but she tied a personal best – 21.92 seconds – in the event at the Olympic trials last month. She also ran a 21.61-second, wind-assisted (+2.6 m/s) time at last year's USA Track and Field Championships.
