The heat and humidity are expected to last one more day but the cooler air holds off until showers, thunderstorms and may be a severe thunderstorm or two move through southern Wisconsin.
PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Sky conditions will remain mostly clear through most of Saturday evening and overnight. Cloud cover will increase as storms move south out of Minnesota. They will be dying as they move into northwestern parts of the News 3 Now coverage area however, an isolated severe storm or two can't be ruled out with strong wind gusts and large hail as the main threats.
EXTENDED FORECA ST : A low pressure system is going to move through Wisconsin on Monday and bring state-line communities their next chance for severe weather with strong wind gusts as the main threats. Heavy rain will also be a threat Monday before showers/storms wrap up during the morning hours on Tuesday. After that, southern Wisconsin will remain mostly dry except scattered shower and thunderstorm chances returning on Thursday. Temperatures will also remain mild throughout most of next week.
