Bronny was seen training with NBA guards Darius Garland and Jordan Clarkson ahead of the new NBA season. The trio of guards were seen working on their shot, their defense, and their dribbling.
It is good to see James continuing to work hard after the NBA Summer League. Playing against NBA-caliber guards, and an All-Star like Garland is great for Bronny, as it will help him understand the level he needs to be to succeed in the NBA and adjust his game accordingly to make sure he is prepared when he gets the opportunity to play for the Lakers .
For Clarkson, it would have been an interesting training session. Clarkson of course, played with LeBron James on the Cavaliers before James left to sign with the Lakers. And for him to get the chance to work out with his son ahead of the NBA season would be a fascinating experience.
Bronny James has shown his commitment to working hard and improving his game over the last month or so. He had a terrible start to the NBA Summer League , going 7-31 from the field and 0-15 from the three-point line. Shooting just 22.5% from the field was not a good look for him.
However, he was able to improve his performance significantly, as he would go on to average 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 0.5 steals in his final two games while shooting 47.6% from the field, and 37.5% from the three-point line.
After the Summer League, Bronny has shown his commitment to getting better as a player, as he has continued training ahead of the next NBA season.
How Will Bronny James Do In The G-League?
Bronny James is expected to spend most of next season in the G-League , with occasional opportunities with the Lakers main team next season. Bronny's stint with the G-League will depend on how he develops as a player , and what the Lakers' needs will be as the season goes on.
James has shown nothing but the utmost professionalism and a great attitude during his time with the Lakers. While there was a report from an anonymous Lakers player who was unhappy with Bronny's special treatment, another one of his teammates came out and denied any resentment among the rest of his teammates.
Lakers' Summer League coach claimed that despite his rough start , James kept his head down and tried to learn how to get better, which resulted in his improved performances during the final two games of the tournament. It appears as though Bronny has made a good impression on all the right people heading into the new season.
Bronny could benefit massively from a stint in the G-League, as it will help him understand what it takes to make it to the NBA as a player while also giving him regular minutes and reps to play and get better. Perhaps in a few years, Bronny could be a regular player for the Lakers' main team.
