If there is one Dallas Cowboys player who is absolutely over the moon to have starting cornerback Trevon Diggs back at practice , it's fellow star defender Micah Parsons.

Diggs was cleared to practice after he passed his physical and came off the PUP (physically unable to perform) list on Tuesday.

And Parsons shared with reporters how stoked he was for his return.

"Trevon (Diggs) is my dog," Parsons said on Thursday. "He’s that one person. It made me cry when I lost him last year."

Parsons also dropped that he has big dreams for himself and Diggs.

"He’s someone that I hope that we can retire together and get gold jackets together… “We’re in this for the long run," he said.

You can tell that these two have a special bond as they are always publically sticking up for one another.

They also love to goof off with one another and displayed that in front of fans at training camp last week with a playful boxing match.

Before suffering his injury in Week 3 of last year, Diggs was fresh off of back-to-back Pro Bowl nods and All-Pro honors.

In 2021, Diggs led the league with 11 interceptions and two defensive touchdowns for 124 yards.

In 2022, he racked up 59 tackles, three interceptions, and 14 passes defended and was on tap for another exciting season in 2023. In the two games he did appear in, he still made an impact with one interception, a forced fumble, and three passes defended.

Even without Diggs last fall, the Cowboys' defense somehow pulled off allowing the fifth-fewest passing yards per game.

But now that he's back, there's reason to believe the Cowboys' defense will be more of a threat in 2024.
