Skip Bayless is ending his time at Fox Sports as the host of Undisputed confirms his exit from the show and the network.

In a social media post today, Bayless shared that he had just completed his last FS1 show.

“Today was my last show on Undisputed . I’m leaving FS1,” Bayless posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I’ve been planning to pursue other opportunities for several months. I had a great 8-year run with a lot of great people at Fox, but now I’m excited for what’s coming up. Stay tuned.”

Fox Sports shared its own statement confirming that Bayless is leaving the network.

“The Fox Sports family thanks Skip Bayless for his outstanding contributions at FS1,” reads the statement. “As a founding member of the show Undisputed and known as the godfather of sports debate, Skip has been a cornerstone of our network and a driving force in sports commentary.”

The statement continued, “His passion, insight, and distinctive voice have entertained audiences and captivated sports fans throughout the years. We wish Skip continued success in his future endeavors.”

Bayless did not mention his Fox Sports exit during the Undisputed broadcast on August 2.

The sports talk program was plagued by controversy last year when Bayless and co-host Shannon Sharpe had several escalating tense moments on-air. Sharpe ultimately left the show in June 2023 and has joined ESPN .

Undisputed premiered in 2016 on FS1 with Bayless and Sharpe debating sports. Following Sharpe’s exit, the show featured several co-hosts including Richard Sherman, Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Irvin debating with Bayless.
