Simone Biles Reveals Major Anxiety She Is Dealing With At Olympics

Team USA gymnast Simone Biles is two-for-two in her finals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning a gold medal in both the all-around team and individual events. Biles was joined by Suni Lee, Jade Carey, and Jordan Chiles in the team final.

But it hasn't all been easy for Biles, especially outside of gymnastics. In her recent TikTok video, Biles opened up about a major anxiety she has been dealing with in Paris.

"I haven't done much around the Olympic Village, and it's because the first day that we got here, I got to the cafeteria, and a lot of people were asking me for photos nonstop," Biles said. "And whenever I sat down to eat, my anxiety was so bad I was shaking, and I couldn't stop shaking, and I was so overwhelmed."

The Olympic Village houses all athletes during the 2024 Paris Games. It holds 14,250 total athletes, providing them with meals and a medical clinic that is open 24/7.

Biles continued, "I haven't gone back to the cafeteria in like five days. I just go to the store, stock up on food, and just stay [at the hotel] because it gets me so anxious."

Biles finished with a 58.332 total score in the all-around team final, the highest total of any competitor. In the individual final, she won gold with a 59.131 total, just beating her total score from the team competition.

Biles will participate in the vault final on Saturday, August 3, where she will perform her signature move, the Yurchenko double pike, also known as the Biles II.
