Driver in critical condition after collision on Highway 395 and Bakie Road in Stevens County

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - UPDATE August 2, 2024 8:58 p.m.

Highway 395 is reopened after a serious injury crash Friday afternoon.

Washington State Patrol is asking people to avoid the area of Highway 395 and Bakie Road due to a serious injury crash.

According to officials, the crash involved a car and a semi truck. The roadway is completely blocked.

The driver of the car was last reported to be in critical condition and life flighted to the hospital.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and expect traffic delays. A detour is currently in place.
