A sense of excitement fills the air worldwide as fans watch their country compete for gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics. From archery to weightlifting, there is something for everyone to enjoy. We couldn't help but to imagine how some of your favorite country music stars might fare if they set down their mics and guitars and traded for Olympic gear.

While they may be known for their chart-topping hits and incredible performances, many country artists have other fun hobbies and athletic talents too. Here, we have created our own dream country music Olympic team!

    Golf - Scotty McCreerey

Like many, Scotty McCreery spends his downtime enjoying a round of golf when he's not performing. Having grown up playing baseball, McCreery has continued to embrace golf as a hobby since achieving musical success. The 'Five More Minutes,' artist even shared a video on Instagram of him teaching his toddler son how to hit a golf ball. McCreery also participated in the ACM Golf Benefit and joined other celebrities at Pinehurst No. 2 for the U.S. Open media day. Other country music stars, Jake Owen and Darius Rucker are also known for their golfing skills on the tee.

    Wrestling - Zach Bryan

Zach Bryan is arguably one of the best country music stars and fan favorites today but before he saw success on the stage, he had a unique past. He did not grow up pursing music, but in school was an avid wrestler and served on the student council. After high school he was an active duty, United States Navy sailor. He wrote music in his spare time during his military years, which would come to lead to unrivaled success later on. He still supports wrestling programs across the country and is a huge Iowa State Wrestling fan.

    Equestrian - Cody Johnson

Although he may not be into dressage or jumping, there is no better country music equestrian than Cody Johnson. The 'Til You Can't,' singer grew up horseback. He had several years of rodeo experience before he ever began his musical career, though music was always an interest of his. Still today Johnson is competitive in the team roping world. He is even hosting his own team roping event later this year. He performs at rodeos and equestrian events worldwide, providing him with an ideal audience for his music.

    Hockey - Dierks Bentley

Hockey is more than a pastime for Dierks Bentley. He is highly competitive and loves the sport. Bentley is a passionate hockey fan and player, having spent many years playing on a minor league team in Nashville with friends. His son, Knox, is playing on a youth hockey team as well. When a snow storm with freezing temps hit Nashville this last winter, he took the opportunity for a game on the frozen pond with lots of local kids. His taste for winter sports explains why the Bentleys have a home in Colorado near the finest ski slopes.

    Rugby - Luke Combs

You might be surprised to learn, as many fans were, that the renowned Luke Combs was a college rugby star. In fact, he didn't start playing guitar until his twenties. Combs came close to making it big in rugby before deciding to pursue music full-time. In an interview, Combs laughed, 'It was fun, I played for three and a half years in college and I had a really great time doing that. I played football in high school, so it was kind of an easy transition. Obviously, there are some major differences. At the end of the day you get to hit people and that was pretty gratifying.' His rugby days may be over for now, but we are sure to watch him continue to tackle the country music charts.
