	The show was originally ordered to pilot at ABC back in March. However, the show is undergoing some changes both in front of and behind the camera. Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully — who were originally announced as writers and executive producers on “Shifting Gears — have exited the series. Facts of Life actress Mindy Cohn did not hold back when she was recently questioned about the rumored reboot that she and her co-stars were developing with the late Norman Lear. According to the actress, the reboot is now “very dead” after one of her co-stars sabotaged it.

But who could it be? Cohn did not name names, but we at least know her former co-stars, which narrows the speculation down a bit.

Recently, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that ABC has secured Tim Allen's new sitcom Shifting Gears after the pilot. The show revolves around the Home Improvement star living as a widower and works in the car business. Essentially, he restores old classics to their former glory. Everything runs swimmingly until his adult daughter and teenage kids move back in. Kat Dennings, of 2 Broke Girls and Thor fame, plays the daughter in the show.
