Why is Adam Peaty not competing in the mixed 4x100m medley relay final

Adam Peaty tested for COVID-19 on Monday, July 29, 2024 , which has affected his participation in the mixed 4x100m medley relay at the Paris Olympics.

And with the final upon us, it has been confirmed that Peaty will NOT represent Team GB in tonight’s huge event.

What events did Adam Peaty miss due to Covid-19?

Adam Peaty missed the heats of the mixed 4x100m medley relay at the Paris Olympics in 2024 due to a positive Covid-19 test.

This recent setback isn’t the first time Covid-19 has disrupted his competition schedule.

In January 2022, Peaty also tested positive for the virus, which caused him to miss the Luxembourg Euro Meet.

This event was a part of his preparation for the 2022 season, including the World Championships and Commonwealth Games.
