Justice Hill is coming off the best season of his career but still only managed to finish the season as RB44. In 2023, he got 84 carries for 387 yards while also bringing in 28 receptions for 206 yards. Hill had a very inconsistent snap share as he had 10 weeks where he played under 50 percent of snaps, even with injuries to J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards.
This offseason, the Ravens brought in workhorse Derrick Henry, who will be taking a majority of the team's snaps. Henry is on the older side for RBs, so the Ravens could try to manage his workload a little more than we’ve seen in the past, which gives the Ravens backup some potential. In the 2023 season, rookie Keaton Mitchell had a great end to the year before tearing his ACL.
Mitchell is expected to miss the start of the season. This gives Hill an almost clear shot at winning the backup position, but when Mitchell is healthy, they will compete for the backup job. Hill is a solid handcuff for Henry owners to start off the season, and if he can prove enough early on, he could be a solid candidate for a bench spot.
Our consensus projections for Hill in the 2024 season are 32 carries for 181 yards and 1 rushing touchdown. As well as 9 receptions, 55 yards, and 0 touchdowns.
