Dolphins Reach Record $90 Million Decision With Tyreek Hill

What a time for Tyreek Hill. Just a day after he was voted as the best overall player in the NFL, the Miami Dolphins rewarded the superstar wideout with a contract that makes him the highest-paid pass-catcher in football .

Hill restructured his deal with the Dolphins on Saturday to pay him as much as $90 million over the next three seasons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The four-year total of his guarantees amount to $106 million, the most ever for any receiver.

Football's fastest player, Hill put together one of the best pass-catching campaigns in league history last season, finishing with 119 catches for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns—all top-two marks league-wide.

On Friday, the NFL revealed that Hill topped its annual list of the top-100 players in the league, an especially significant honor because the vote was conducted by his playing peers.

Needless to say, not everyone agreed with Hill's play atop the rankings. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Hill's former teammate and the two-time reigning Super Bowl MVP, came in at a shocking fourth in the top-100. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was second, while San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey finished third in the voting.

Hill, now 30 years old, has nothing left to prove in the NFL. As kickoff of the 2024 season draws closer and closer, though, rest assured that opposing fans will be champing at the bit to criticize him if Hill struggles to live up to his lavish new contract and place atop the NFL 100.
