    I-65 road work to close lanes in Shelby County

    SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Alabama Department of Transportation announced planned lane closures on I-65 in Shelby County starting Sunday evening.

    The ALDOT is expecting to close the inside or outside lanes of I-65 northbound and southbound for permanent striping between mileposts 225.948 and 237.530 at 8 p.m. Sunday. There is also an anticipated traffic monitoring pole installation at milepost 225.948 on I-65 southbound.

    All lanes are expected to open by around 6 a.m. Monday. The same lane closures may occur from 8 p.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Friday.
