Their feud became so popular that it caught the eye of Vice President Kamala Harris’ office, who used audio from one of Brooke’s videos to mock former President Donald Trump on TikTok. The Democratic presidential nominee-approved video has secured over 21 million views in part because of how much people are enthralled with the whole Brooke and Clinton saga .

The drama that ensued between them began when Clinton, a singer who has a TikTok following of about 2 million, shared a video to promote a new song.

“When you’ve been over the relationship for two years, but she won’t stop yapping,” the video text reads. It was an indirect reference to Brooke, who happens to be a podcaster as well as a content creator, dishing the deets on how she found out Clinton was lying to her while they were dating. Clinton’s debut video about Brooke’s claim got millions of views and also began an online war with the latter.

After that, she shared a 16-part video series on TikTok that detailed the inner workings of their relationship before they called it quits. Brooke claimed that Clinton lied to her about several things, such as his age, and the death of his mom. Countless watched her videos, landing her over 121 million views cumulatively.

Many appeared to be on Brooke’s side as social media users began accusing Clinton of being emotionally abusive and manipulative, according to Time. Clinton took to social media after Brooke’s videos went viral to defend himself against her claims, denying many of them in a 30-part video series, which acquired 69 million views.

Clinton disabled the comments section for each video, making it clear that he didn’t want to deal with any remarks from his followers about his truth. Those keeping up with the drama insisted that Clinton address the claims that Brooke made about him, specifically, the one about her claiming he lied about his mom being dead.

Clinton revealed during an interview with Zach Sang in 2022 that his mom, brother, and dad died in the same year. He also disclosed that one of his songs was about “grieving the death of his mom, with whom he’d had a complicated relationship,” according to Time.

The next year Zach had Cancelled podcast hosts Brooke and internet personality Tana Mongeau on his show, and during their sit-down, he claimed that Clinton lied about his mom dying. Tana co-signed Zach’s allegation, claiming that he had announced on Instagram that he wasn’t speaking to his biological mother, however, he had a “mother figure.”

Brooke mentioned in a TikTok clip that was a part of the series that exposed Clinton that upon learning that he wasn’t telling the truth about his mom she confronted him.

“[Clinton] made me feel so f- -king horrible for ever possibly accusing him of lying about something like that,” Brooke said. “I felt so disgusting and so guilty. I thought I was going crazy.”

In an interview with Time Clinton spoke out on the situation - his mom and brother are still living - referring to what Brooke considered to be lies as “mistakes.” He admitted that those in the spotlight, whether their public figures or content creators, couldn’t “make mistakes anymore” because all eyes were on them.

“It’s like, ‘How does anyone grow as a human being as a person if they don't make mistakes?’” Clinton told Time. “I think that's the saddest part about it because I did highlight the mistakes, and I took accountability for the mistakes I made in that relationship.”

He added: “There’s nothing I can do to change anyone’s mind; you believe what you believe, and I totally respect that.”
