A woman is in a bind over attending her pals' "man-free" nuptials. She shared her woes on Reddit , saying her friends Lisa and Sophie are planning their wedding without any gents on the guest list.

She's been friends with them both for a while and when the invite dropped , it clearly stated the wedding was a "man-free" affair .

Taking to Reddit , she confessed: "Despite not being a man myself, I felt that it was a weird decision on their part."

She buzzed Lisa's bro for a chinwag, asking if kin were on the guest list. He got back revealing even he and his and Lisas dad have been barred from the bash.

He's clueless about what kicked off this rule, but remarked it's sparked quite the issue within the family.

The whole thing didn't sit right with her, so she decided to give the wedding a miss. On the phone with Lisa, she didn't mince her words and told her friend the man ban was odd and she was out.

Penning her feelings, she said: "I did not tell her that I contacted her brother, just that I'm not a fan of events segregated by gender."

Lisa tried to justify, saying it's all about celebrating the ladies, but she clapped back: even with guys around, its about the brides. They're both women after all.

The conversation ended with Lisa hanging up and radio silence till now, but Sophie's been firing off texts accusing her of harbouring internalized misogyny.

Folks on Reddit were quick to back the original poster's sentiments.

One chimed in: "I am [in my opinion] a hard-core feminist, and to me, that means advocating for equality amongst genders, not trying to put men down to push women up... that's a horrible idea."

Another commented: "Imagine being a father and then your daughter tells you you're not invited to her wedding because it's women only."
