'I love the baby name I've picked out, but I'm worried it'll sound ridiculous'

A perplexed parent is in a bit of a pickle over the name they've picked out for their soon-to-arrive daughter , despite being quite fond of it.

Hopping onto Reddit , they sought advice to ensure the name wouldn't be too peculiar or hard to swallow.

Their post read : "So I'm really struggling with a name for our baby girl , due in December. I LOVE the name Aurora but her last name would be Riley. Does it sound ridiculous? Are there too many 'R's'?

"Her middle name would be Lily which I think as a whole name sounds fine but it's not often that her whole name would be used unless we double barrel it.

"Does anyone have any other suggestions for names? We want to stay with the celestial/space/moon theme as our other daughter is called Elara."

Fellow Redditors weighed in with their two cents on the matter. One user commented: "It's a lot of 'r's - what if you child has a speech impediment? Lily and Riley also have the same mouth feel and together, it doesn't flow well (but that's just my opinion! ) All are beautiful names but together, it feels a lot. At the end of the day though, name your baby what feels right to you as her mum."

Another person suggested: "You could do Aurora Lilian Riley and call her Lily. Aurelia Lilian Riley. If you just absolutly like the way Aurora sounds. Aurelia doesn't have as many r's."

And with a hint of concern, another added: "I don't hate it but I worry about what if the child has an issue pronouncing Rs. So maybe look into names like Luna, Estella, etc."

Also taking issue with the moniker, another person added: "Yeah, it doesn't quite flow off the tongue tbh."

Yet there were some who favored the name. One user commented: "I actually think it's fine."

Someone else expressed their preference: "I like Aurora."

A third chimed in sharing a personal anecdote: "It's ok. I had a stutter as a kid and it's hard for me to pronounce. That and rural lol."
