Aaron Rodgers has been seen irate at teammates through training camp with the New York Jets ahead of his NFL return , with the legendary quarterback as motivated as ever to guide the team to an impressive season.

Rodgers missed the entire 2023 season except for four snaps, suffering a season-ending Achilles tendon tear in his Jets debut when so much optimism had been around the team after his arrival. Unfortunately, Rodgers' injury was too much for the Jets to overcome, going on to have a losing season which once again forced changes in the offseason.

And for what feels like an all-too-familiar feeling amongst the Jets, an air of optimism remains around their camp . After making further impressive additions to their roster, the team is seen as potential contenders in the AFC with Rodgers looking to maintain a high standard throughout camp so far.

In the past week alone, Rodgers has been seen arguing with his go-to wide receiver Garrett Wilson , before berating his center Joe Tippmann for snapping a ball over his head.

When asked about Rodgers' mentality heading into the season, Jets head coach Robert Salah gave an insight into the mindest which motivates his behavior and demands of teammates. Salah said: "I’ve heard stories of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady - not to compare them - but it's the same thing. The expectation and the standard is high.

"As a quarterback, he’s trying to operate at a certain level of efficiency, which means people around him need to be efficient at the same level. When he’s not feeling that as a group’s leader and voice, he voices his opinion."

While the Jets will by no means be among the favorites to get to the Super Bowl this year, their roster appears to be strong enough to compete in the playoffs this season - strengthening their offensive line in order to give Rodgers the best possible chance.

Heading into what might be the final year of his legendary career, Rodgers has just one Super Bowl to his resume, winning the championship in just his third year as the starter with the Green Bay Packers in 2010.

While being seen as one of the greatest of all-time alongside the likes of the aforementioned Brady and Manning, Rodgers will hope to end his career with one final Lombardi trophy - cementing his legacy and guiding the Jets back to their first championship after almost 60 years.
