Jokes Pour In As Scottie Scheffler Wins Olympic Gold Medal Months After Arrest

It's pretty difficult to conjure up a single year that was more eventful than the one that golf star Scottie Scheffler just had.

On Sunday morning, Scheffler shot an incredible 62 in the final round of the  2024 Summer Olympics to come from behind and capture his first gold medal. Scheffler fired a 29 on the back to storm out into the lead and eventually edge out Great Britain's Tommy Fleetwood and Japan's Hideki Matsuyama.

Seeing Scheffler on top of the podium with a gold medal in hand left a lot of people in awe with how his last 12 months have gone, especially considering that Scheffler was arrested back in May ahead of the PGA Championship's second round.

From a Masters Championship this spring to a gold medal in August, the past several months have been about as wild of a path as you could ask for.
